Cancellation Policy

Weather Policy: Lessons continue in light rain when conditions are safe. Severe weather, excessive heat, icy conditions, or unsafe footing may require cancellation. If Criswood cancels due to weather, riders will receive a full credit or may reschedule at no charge. Arrival Policy Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled lesson to tack your horse and stretch. Lessons begin and end at their scheduled time to respect all riders. Arriving late does not extend lesson time. Rider Requirements: ASTM/SEI-approved riding helmets are required for all riders while mounted. Riders must wear: Long pants Closed-toe boots with a heel Weather-appropriate clothing Riders who arrive without proper footwear or required safety equipment may not be permitted to ride. Parent & Spectator Policy: Parents and guests are welcome to observe from designated viewing areas. Please wear appropriate footwear at all times when on property. This includes closed-toed shoes and footwear that would be appropriate if you accidentally get stepped on by a horse or step in manure. Children not participating in lessons must remain supervised. For everyone's safety, please do not enter stalls or pastures without staff permission. Horse Safety: Please do not feed horses treats without instructor approval. Follow instructor directions at all times. Running, shouting, or climbing on fences is prohibited. Liability: Horseback riding is an inherently risky activity. By participating in lessons or activities at Criswood Equestrian, riders (or a parent/guardian for minors) acknowledge these risks and agree to complete all required liability waivers before participating. Payment: Payment is due at the time of booking or in person if paying in cash unless other arrangements have been made. Lesson packages are non-transferable unless approved by management. Prices are subject to change.
